all tracks are from tanakas archive (2010-2015), which were produced since he had moved his base in berlin. the idea of the dj mixing with only his own tracks has been gestating for sometime and with his trials during his dj dates in europe, south america and japan the selection of the tracks and combination has been made. the thought process of mixing his own materials could be similar to preparing for his own live set. this recording was done at this home in berlin. all tracks has been released on 12inch vinyl (snd 06.07.08 on 2017) except track 6.

moby has released a new single and video for Òlike a motherless child,Ó from his forthcoming album everything was beautiful, and nothing hurt. featuring la-based soulstress raquel rodriguez, Òlike a motherless childÓ is a re-work of the well-known spiritual, with its origins in the slavery of the american south. the track describes the void left when one feels separated from a parent, higher power or similar guiding force. over the years this powerful song has been reinterpreted by the likes of odetta, lena horne, mahalia jackson and van morrison. the album is a glowing tapestry exploring spirituality, individuality and the brokenness of humanity and finds him returning to his orchestral, soul, trip-hop and gospel roots.

recently, superpitcher was invited to go on a safari in south africa. he bought a custom made safari hat at his favorite milliner in cologne (ju&#776,rgen eifler) and set off with big eyes and a pair of binoculars. it was wild and wonderful and he saw many exotic (and big!) animals, even a leopard in a tree that told him the secret of the universe. he forgot what the leopard said because his mind was still playing and replaying the sound of what he heard on the first night of his arrival Ð the hypnotic and moving sound of the voices of africa, the voices of the wonderful tanda tula staff choir. there, the choir members work during the day at the camp and at night entertain the guests with their captivating voices and energetic dancing. so impressed was he with their songs and beautiful shangaan language that he decided to record a cd for them to sell in the shop at their camp and now this precious recording is also available through hippie dance / bush recordings on vinyl and cd for you in whatever wherever camp you are. the lp of the tanda tula choir comes with a very pretty poster.

south african house music artist sir lsg debuts his first album, a stunningly crafted piece of art for which he pulled together an impressive collective of international vocalists, musicians and collaborators. titled Ômoving circlesÕ, the longplayer represents the concept of life seen as a journey. it highlights events of love, life, inspiration, sadness and loneliness in one big turn.

with many influences, the musicians of la mano create a peculiar sound, a rock-salsa-ra•-reggae-rap cocktail which they baptize patchanka. manu chao, who writes lyrics, gives to the patchanka a more personal definition: a popular dance with apache lyrics and chorizo spirit. the band starts touring across france in october 1987 and rapidly establishes a solid reputation. a few months later, when the second record putas fever is released, the success is obvious. tracks sung in french, spanish or arabic, pas assez de toi, king kong five or sidi hbibi are immediate hits. after a long live-cruise in 1992 along the south american coasts, la mano negra gets back to france and separates in 1994. its hard to tell the impact of la mano negra across french and spanish speaking countries, with as many particular experiences that people lived during their tours.
